For a reminder that might need to be a bit more permanent (and eventually sink in) look at Wonderful Graffiti for some fantastic ideas and some nice looking ways to decorate your wall. (No I don't work for them, but I love their product.)

You are so right about the reminders blending into the landscape as you put it. I will write things on my wall calendar and often, with time, it blends into everything else. I even tried using different color pens for different tasks. Still blends in time.
I just started using the Outlook calendar and cracked up when the reminder for an author phone call came up as "Call #### now." This is still new enough that it is working, I just need to hit the snooze button instead of the dismiss when I am not quite ready to tackle the task.

    Great post.

    Great post, Lori!

I have an iPhone, and I use the alarm feature to remind me to take my daily vitamin. A duck quacks when the alarm goes off, so it's unmistakable AND funny!

I also use Remember the Milk to remind me of a number of things I do on a regular basis. I get reminders in the morning of everything I'm supposed to do that day, plus I get a reminder at the specific time I'm supposed to do it!

These are great ideas! I have been writing reminders to my husband on our bathroom mirror with a dry erase marker! I try to put it right about where he has to look to shave!! I also try to add an encouraging/funny comment too:)He just wipes it off when he is done!
